Official framework conditions for holiday hotels from the Austrian federal government
As announced by the federal government at the press conference on February 16, 2022, from February 19. gradually follow the following opening steps:
From February 19, 2022, the 3-G rule will be reintroduced for gastronomy and hospitality. This also applies to cable cars, thermal baths and events – thus the 3-G rule then applies in all areas where the 2-G rule is valid currently. The curfew at 12.00 p.m. and the obligation to wear masks indoors remain in place. School events such as ski courses can also be held again from February 21, 2022.
From March 5, 2022, all corona restrictions will be largely repealed: • Curfew falls • Night gastronomy and bar operations are allowed again • Events are possible without restrictions FFP2 masks are only compulsory in highly vulnerable areas (e.g. in hospitals), on public transport including its stops and in customer areas of essential trade (e.g. in pharmacies and in food retail).
In all other areas, it is highly recommended to wear a FFP2 mask indoors. Prevention concepts and COVID officers must be maintained everywhere. Generally, the 3 G rule has to be followed crossing the border to Austria.
